3 Great Reasons to Take a Cruise with a Group

One of my favorite things to book for clients are Group Cruises and Cruise Weddings. I'm sure that if you are a client of mine and have heard me tell my "story" of how I got into the travel industry, you know that I used to work for Carnival Cruise Line in Sales for a time, then Customer Service. 

Group cruises are amazing for so many different reasons. Here are my TOP 3 Reasons to Book a Group Cruise:

1. If everyone is a United States citizen, everyone doesn't need a passport (for most cruise lines): I book a LOT OF GROUP TRAVEL. The most COMMON issue that people have when wanting to go on a group trip is that everyone doesn't have a passport. For most closed loop cruises (leaving from and coming back to the same cruise port) you are not required to have a passport (just your drivers license or state ID & a copy of your birth certificate). This is pretty amazing because groups are able to sail on the cruise, get off on all of the amazing cruise ports in Mexico, the Bahamas, Jamaica, and more WITHOUT a passport. 
2. Cruises are much more fun with people you know: I am a person who will always have fun on vacation--BUT when you travel with a group of people that you know--the fun is multipled by 100! I can arrange for you to all be seated at the same table for dinners with the same waiter each night, group outings and excursions, cocktail parties & private events specific to your group and more! 
3. There are special perks that you could qualify for when booking a group:  With most of the cruise vendors that I use, you can earn your cabin for FREE if a certain amount of people book within your cruise group. Most cruise lines give you amentity points that you can use toward special perks & gifts for every cabin in your group as well. 

I got married on the Carnival Triumph in 2014 in my GLORY days of working for Carnival. For my cruise wedding, we were able to have our wedding in Galveston before the ship left (so that all 50 attendees did NOT have to sail with us) but a group of friends sailed with us after the wedding. The entire experience was amazing, the wedding was completely planned stress free, and I was able to get married and enjoy the cruise. I am now happy that I get to do that for couples!
